As a new (round 3) food blogger, I just realised that I hardly took any food pictures this weekend. There were so many fun things that I made in the last few days, and had so much fun preparing everything that I forgot to take pictures. I also made some edible Diwali gifts. Will be sharing the recipes for the edible gifts I made in the next post. The main event, the house party was celebrated with close friends who I know since school days and family. My live music journey started with them. First Vedic Chant (who were rightfully called Chaos in college), then with my brother and his band Cusp. So there were Sid & Suhaas
(Vedic Chant), and Anit and Saumitra (Cusp) part of the group. Here's what happened, and here's what was the week was like.
Diwaloween it seems.
On this day I made a simple 2 course Mexican meal. 1 salad, and vegeterian fajitas. These recipes will be out on another post as an interesting collab with my dear friend Chitra.

We didn't have desserts as there were enough mithias doing rounds all day.
Day 2 was simple home made desi Chinese. Simple for us as our cook Arjun is fab. It was Paneer chilli with fried rice.

Saturday was chill, make your own eggs night as I was preppeng for next day's parcels and party.
Sunday started with packing some butter chicken burgers which were picked up during lunch.

For the party Sunday night, I baked a few breads. A savory Flat bread to go with some baked Turkish Kashkaval cheese. As I forgot to take pictures, adding a photo from the last time I made it.
Just through in a slab of cheese in an oven proof dish (preferbly a bake and serve). Add some herbs, garlic, cherry tomatoes. Some peppers if you like. Top it with garlic pods and herbs of your choce. Bake in 170 degress celcius till the cheese has melted. I usually serve it with Harissa paste on the side. It's a great centre piece and a party conversation starter.

Dinner was butter chicken and a Gvalani special paneer dish. Both served with pavs. The non alcoholic beverages were Mogra sherbat and lemon lime bitters, from previous blog.
My batch people are all hitting half century this year. And Suhaas's birthday was over the weekend. So I made a cake. Keeping the tradition of my cakes being delicious but disastrous in looks (that story needs another blog post), I baked a vanilla sponge layered with chocolate hazlenut ganache, and topped with chocolate coffee ganache. It was yum.

Disasterous looking right? Became a default Haloween cake. Some pictures of the Happy Faces thanks to our food, cake, and playlists.

Suhaas surrounded by the other half centurians.

Part Cusp, part Vedic Chant with family and friends.
Hope everyone had a happy Diwali. Do Enjoy music by my fam buddies.
